Steering device for series mounted wheel sets of a vehicle, particularly crane vehicles

Abstract

In a device for the steering of wheel sets of a vehicle, particularly of a crane vehicle comprising at least two strut girders (2') arranged symmetrically in pairs and pivotable in opposite directions and to which are fixed the wheel sets, one after the other, so as to pivot about a vertical rotation axis (4'), the control levers (6') of each wheel set being connected by an adjustable steering linkage for a plurality of different positions of the strut girders. A simplified readjustment of the wheel sets according to the different predetermined positions of the strut girders is obtained by connecting the articulation points of the steering linkage corresponding to the wheel sets to an intermediary lever (10') pivotable about the vertical rotation axis (4') but not connected to the latter. The intermediary lever (10') may be connected to the control lever (6') in the predetermined positions of the strut girders. In an embodiment of the invention, a lock (25) connected to the control lever (6') engages corresponding hollows (7'-9') of the intermediary lever (10').
